The
TF Transit Tube is a self-contained system for the collection and transport of
Tritrichomonas foetus from bovine preputial or vaginal samples. The proprietary
InPouch liquid medium is selective for Trichomonas, while inhibiting the growth
of other organisms. The TF Transit Tube is designed to facilitate the
identification of T. foetus with PCR technology by providing easy, field-sample
inoculation, improved Trichomonas selectivity with proprietary TF medium, safe
transport and preservation of the specimen, DNA extraction and PCR compatible
and suppression of yeast and bacteria in the sample. The TF Transit tube is not a diagnostic
test.
