For prevention and treatment of tetanus in all domestic animals. Tetanus Antitoxin is recommended when a non-immunized animal or one whole immune status is unknown suffers a deep penetrating wound that has or may become contaminated with soil.
It provides quick short-term protection. Limited supply in 50ml bottle Confers immediate passive immunity that lasts about 7-14 days. Antitoxin may also be administered to animals following castration, docking and other operations performed on premises upon which tetanus infection has been a problem. Prevention dose: 1500 units administered subque for horses, cattle, swine and sheep. Lasts 7-14 days Treatment: Large doses may provide beneficial response. For Horses/Cattle 10,000-50,000 units. For sheep/swine 3000-15000 units. 21 day withdrawl
