Feed-through wormer for horses
Overview
Strongid C 2X (Double Strength) Continous Feeding Horse Wormer (Pyrantel Tartrate) is a feed-through wormer for horses. A daily dose of STRONGID ® C 2X helps break the cycle of parasite infection. STRONGID C 2X helps prevent Strongylus vulgaris larval infestations and control adult large strongyles as well as adult and fourth-stage larvae (L4) of small strongyles, pinworms and ascarids.
Stongid C 2X is safe for all horses, including pregnant mares, stallions, and foals. One 10-pound pail provides 80 days of prevention for a 1,000 lb. horse. Strongid horse wormer pellets are palatable molasses and alfalfa. STRONGID C 2X is to be administered on a continuous basis either as a top dress or mixed in the horse’s daily grain ration at the rate of 1.2 mg pyrantel tartrate per pound of body weight daily. To achieve this dose, administer: 0.5 ounce of STRONGID C 2X per 250 pounds of body weight.
