Radix Chlorhexidine Diacetate 2% is a based Chlorhexidine concentrate for use in solution as a
post-milking teat dip. When used properly, it helps reduce the incidence of
mastitis due to germicidal properties. Mixes with water and glycerin to create
a sanitizing and moisturizing teat dip. Contains chlorhexidine diacetate
(2%). Product should not be used without
dilution as hypersensitivity may occur.
Udder and teats should be washed properly prior to milking. Avoid contamination of animal feed or human
ingestion.
To prepare 1
gallon of a 0.5% solution for dipping teats: Mix 32
ounces of Chlorhexidine Diacetate 2% with 6 ounces of glycerin. Then add clean
potable water until you have a total volume of 1 gallon.
To use: Dip
each teat with solution immediately after the cow is milked. Dip each teat so
the lower 1 inch of the teat is coated with the 0.5% solution.
