Pneu Dart Type ‘U’ RDD Darts have the most versatile and universal tail design for Pneu-Dart and non Pneu-Dart Projectors. Type U tails for 6cc – 10cc darts are the standard tail design for any projector. Type U tails have been created to support 1/2cc – 5cc darts in conjunction with projectors not manufactured by Pneu-Dart.Many of the more seasoned customers may be familiar with these as ‘P’ Type Dart with Flight Stabilizer Tails. Rest assured they are one in the same; renamed in part as one of our latest steps in streamlining processes and meeting the needs of our customers. Pneu-Dart recommends consistently delivering an appropriate sized practice device to a six-inch target before attempting to deliver any medication remotely. RDD Devices 1.5 cc through 10 cc are equipped with a gelatin collar. 0.5cc – 10cc can be ordered with a wire barb. 3/8″ cannula are available in plain only. 1/2″ cannula are available in gelatin collars or wire barbs. Gelatin collars comprise of an inert material retaining the dart in place until the injection is made, and after several minutes will liquefy, allowing the RDD Device to fall freely from the animal.
