Flaxseed Oil is one of the richest, natural sources of Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, including alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) derived from plant seeds. Horses require a minimum level of fat in their diet for optimum health.
Omega-3 and Omega-6 are essential fatty acids and as such, must be supplied in their diet or through supplements. FOB charges apply GUARANTEED ANALYSIS: Nutritional Data per ounce: Crude Protein (min) 1%, Crude Fat (min) 98%, Crude Fiber (max) >1%, Linolenic (Omega-3) (min) 7%, Linoleic (Omega-6) (min) 5%, Unsaponifiable matter less than 2%, Insolubles less that 1%. INGREDIENTS: Soybean Oil, Flaxseed Oil (cold pressed, organic). Feeding Instructions: Flaxseed Oil should be top dressed or mixed with normal feed ration. As a general rule of good feeding practice oils should be introduced gradually. HORSES: 1000lbs total body weight, feed 1 to 2 ounces daily. Horses 500lbs total body weight feed 1 ounce daily. DOGS: under 25lbs feed 1 tsp, 26lb-50lb feed 2 tsp, over 50lb feed 3 tsp daily. CATTLE: 1 to 2 ounces per day regardless of weight. GOATS & SHEEP: 1/2 ounce per day. PIGS: 1/2 to 1 ounce per day. This product is intended for supplemental feeding.
