Biologics ACDCare supports the performance of the gastrointestinal
tract during high-stress situations by supplementing cattle, goats, sheep, and
swine with plasma from donors vaccinated against Clostridium
perfringens Types A, C, & D.
Administration: Can
be oral, subcutaneous (SQ), or intravenous (IV). IV requires the use of a
filtered IV administration set.
Newborn, Feeder Calves, & Cattle: 10-20 mL
Suckling Lambs, Goats, & Pigs: 5-10 mL
Feeder Lambs, Goats, & Pigs: 10-20 mL
Oral
administration of 10 mL or more, two to three times daily, may be beneficial.
Oral administration may address foreign proteins in the gastrointestinal tract
and help maintain a healthy biome.
Use
Instructions: Invert gently before use. Do not shake. Do not
administer within 21 days of slaughter. Safety in pregnant animals is unknown.
Storage: Store
refrigerated at 4-8°C (39-46°F). Gelling may occur when stored at or near
freezing temperatures. Call manufacturer if this occurs.
Ingredients: Equine
Plasma Proteins, Sodium Citrate Solution,
Gentamicin as a preservative.
Precaution: Every
reasonable precaution has been taken to safeguard this product. There is always
the possibility, while rare, of adverse events. Hypersensitivity reactions
could occur in all species. In case of anaphylaxis, give epinephrine. Always
check patient history for previous equine protein exposure or a previous
reaction to foreign protein biologics. Due to the potential incompatibility of
equine donor blood factors, do not use in equine species.
