During the early period after calving, metabolic disorders such as ketosis and milk fever can develop. Supplying extra energy during this crucial transition period will benefit the energy balance of dairy cows, helping to prevent some of these metabolic stressors. Propylene Advantage provides that extra energy needed and has comparative benefits to Propylene Glycol.
When to Use:
- Supplies energy to transition cows quickly
- During the first 6-8 weeks post-partum when dairy cows experience a negative energy balance.
- Anytime an off-feed event occurs
Features and Benefits:
- Replaces conventional propylene Glycol
- Provides extra energy during transition periods to help prevent metabolic stressors
- Multiple metabolic pathways
- Supplies supplemental energy when cows are energy deficient
- Proven effectiveness in research for over 60 years
- Contains two sources of glucose precursors
- More palatable (sweet taste) when compared to propylene glycol
- Glycerin has been shown to stimulate appetite
- Containing a combination of Glycerin and Propylene Glycol
- Renewable fuel industry expansion (Biodiesel) - Provides ample supplies of glycerol
