ONE SHOT® BVD helps provide beef and dairy cattle with combined respiratory protection against Mannheimia haemolytica and bovine viral diarrhea (BVD) Types 1 and 2 viruses in a single dose. When ONE SHOT BVD is used concurrently with INFORCE™ 3 respiratory vaccine:

Helps protect against bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV), infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus, parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus, M. haemolytica and BVD Types 1 and 2 viruses.

  • Helps young calves build the immunity they need prior to commingling of dairy calves and at turnout for beef calves.
  • Helps provide a convenient and effective way to combat bovine respiratory disease (BRD).

ONE SHOT® BVD may be administered to pregnant cattle provided they were vaccinated, according to label directions, with any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP® or PREGGUARD® GOLD FP vaccine within the past 12 months. ONE SHOT BVD also may be administered to calves nursing pregnant cows provided their dams were vaccinated within the past 12 months as described above. To help ensure safety in pregnant cattle, heifers must receive at least 2 doses of any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP or PREGGUARD GOLD FP product with the second dose administered approximately 30 days prebreeding.

General Directions: Vaccination of healthy cattle is recommended. Aseptically rehydrate the freeze-dried component with the sterile diluent provided, shake well, and administer 2 mL subcutaneously. In accordance with Beef Quality Assurance guidelines, this product should be administered in the neck region.

Primary Vaccination: Administer a single 2 mL dose to healthy cattle. To avoid possible maternal antibody interference with active immunization, calves vaccinated before the age of 6 months should be revaccinated after 6 months of age or at weaning.

Revaccination: Annual revaccination with a single dose is recommended. Good management practices support revaccination whenever subsequent stress or exposure is likely

Vaccine program for respiratory protection
Used concurrently, a vaccine program that includes ONE SHOT BVD and INFORCE™ 3 respiratory vaccine:

  • Offers superior respiratory protection against bovine respiratory syncytial virus (BRSV) of INFORCE 3 with the complementary M. haemolytica and BVD protection of ONE SHOT BVD.
  • Offers an effective combination of antigens available for young calves — using the right antigens, at the right time, helps provide the immunity boost they need.
  • Helps provide comprehensive respiratory protection against BRSV, infectious bovine rhinotracheitis (IBR) virus, parainfluenza 3 (PI3) virus, M. haemolytica and BVD Types 1 and 2 viruses.

Impact of respiratory disease on calves

  • BRD can negatively impact the health, productivity and profitability of a herd.
  • Young calves can easily fall victim to respiratory infections because of their underdeveloped immune systems and exposure to environmental stressors.
  • As the second-most significant disease impacting dairy operations3 and the leading cause of death in beef calves between three weeks of age and weaning,1 BRD can negatively impact the health, productivity and profitability of young calves.

Precautions: Do not use in pregnant cows (abortions can result) unless they were vaccinated, according to label directions, with any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP® or PREGGUARD GOLD FP vaccine within the past 12 months. Do not use in calves nursing pregnant cows unless their dams were vaccinated within the past 12 months as described above. To help ensure safety in pregnant cattle. heifers must receive at least 2 doses of any BOVI-SHIELD GOLD FP or PREGGUARD GOLD FP product with the second dose administered approximately 30 days prebreeding,
